Parking at UNF

Rules and Procedures 

Parking at the University of North Florida is very organized. Faculty and staff are permitted to park in “Faculty/Staff (orange lined spaces) …Blue Lots…Gray Lots” (Permits and Rates 1). However, they may not park in “Housing Lots and designated areas in Garage 44A…Reserved, Green, (green lined spaces) and Restricted Spaces” (Permits and Rates 1). Blue Lot passes may park in “Blue Lots…Gray Lots”, but not “Faculty/Staff (orange lined spaces) …Housing Lots and designated areas in Garage 44A…Reserved, Green (green lined spaces) and Restricted spaces” (Permits and Rates 1). Gray Lots may only park in said lot. Housing The Flats at UNF may only park in “Gray Lots (includes The Flats Lot 65)” (Permits and Rates 1). Housing A may park in “Housing A Lots (includes lots 10, 11, 12 and designated areas in garage 44A) …Gray Lots” and may not park in “Faculty/Staff (orange lined spaces) …Housing B Lots…Housing F Lots…Reserved, Green (green lined spaces) and Restricted spaces…Blue Lots” (Parking and Permits 1). Housing B (The Crossings) may park in “Housing B Lot (includes lots 15 and 17) …Gray Lots” and may not park in “Faculty/Staff (orange lined spaces) …Housing A Lots and designated areas in Garage 44A…Housing F Lots…Reserved, Green (green lined spaces) and Restricted spaces…Blue Lots…Lot 16” (Parking and Permits 1). Housing F (The Fountains) may park in “Housing F Lot (includes Lot 55) …Gray Lots” and may not park in “Faculty/Staff (orange lined spaces) …Reserved, Green (green lined spaces) and Restricted spaces…Blue Lots…Housing A Lots and designated areas in Garage 44A…Housing B Lots” (Parking and Permits 1). Finally, motorcycles may park in “Motorcycle spaces” but they may not park in “Non designated motorcycle spaces” (Parking and Permits 1).

Rules and Procedures

Parking at Florida Atlantic University is comprised of three sections: students, faculty staff and employees, and guests’ visitors and volunteers. Students are divided into “BLUE (COMMUTER) EPERMIT HOLDERS” or “GREEN (ON-CAMPUS RESIDENT) EPERMIT HOLDERS” (All permits 1). Blue epermit holders may “park in all of the blue lots… park in red lots between the hours of 6 PM and 7 AM unless otherwise posted… park in lot 40 PBSC during the day from 6 AM to 11 PM” but they are not permitted to park overnight (All Permits 1). Green epermit holders may “park in all of the green lots…park in blue and red permit lots between the hours of 6 PM and 7 AM unless otherwise posted” but “PBSC lot 40 is off-limits to all green permits at all times” (All Permits 1). For Faculty, Staff, and Employees, their “ePermit will allow you to park in the red and blue lots on campus” (All permits 1). Finally, guests and visitors may use the “Pay-By-Plate systems. These include using our meters or the ParkMobile app or website.” And volunteers “will be issued commuter ePermits free of charge” (All permits 1).

Rules and Procedures

Parking at the University of Florida has been split up amongst many kinds of permits that determine who can park where. For example, the “green” permit is for “Graduate and professional students living off-campus” and they may park in “green…any permit” spots (Business Services 1). Students with the “Park & Ride” which is for “Undergraduate students living off-campus” and they may park in “Any Permit” spots (Business Services 1). “Red 1” parking passes are for “Students who have completed 50 or more credit hours* and live on-campus” and they can exclusively park in “Red 1” spots, as well as “All Red… Any Permit” (Business Services 1). “Red 3” parking passes are for “Students who have completed fewer than 50 credit hours and live on-campus” and they have the opportunity to park in “All Red… Any Permit” (Business Services 1). Finally, “Brown 2” spots are for “Students living in Corry, Maguire, and University Village Family Housing Village” who may park in “Brown 2” lots, and “Brown 3” spots are for “Students living in Diamond Family Housing Village” who may park in “Brown 2” lots, both brown passes pay park in “Any Permit” spots (Business Services 1).
